New EU bus sales by power source
15.9% of new buses are electrically-chargeable vehicles today, 12.8% are hybrid electric, 9% run on alternative fuels, while diesel still fuels 62.3% of all buses sold in the European Union. This interactive chart shows the trend in the fuel types of new buses for the 2020-2023 period.
Alternatively-powered buses make up more than a third of the market.
